Several months ago I posted here in my quest for a tuner for a very early Breadwinner, which Mr. Ovation (I believe) was able to scrounge up (my eternal gratitude to you sir)I was also looking for some fret wire and was directed to Ovation HQ, which to my amazement sent out to me absolutely free of charge enough frets to redo the entire guitar and then a few extras, after having returned my phone call less than 20 minutes after I left a message (wonderful company). Anyways when all was said and done I was asked to post a picture of the guitar, which belonged to my wife's father who passed away when she was 10 years old, it had been passed around to a few relatives before rightfully ending up in her (our) possession, having come from a relatively humid area to an area that's as dry as a popcorn fart the fretboard developed several longitudinal cracks in it, a couple were beginning to look rather serious (wide)to me so I took it in to my favorite guitar shop for the re-fret (only 3 frets were in need of replacement) and to have the fretboard repaired (cracks filled, polished, etc) I spent just a hair north of $500 and would have gladly spent much more to restore this fine instrument/heirloom and have been playing the hell out of it for a while now, it just continues to grow on me, anyways thanks again to everyone involved, as soon as I figure out how to post pics I will

Good story, but not unusual around here. Glad it worked out for you. Enjoy the warm fuzzies.

That's a very nice and very early one with the torroidal pickups and nylon saddled bridge.

excellent!

Enjoy it and treasure it.
