Location: Northeast Ohio | Hello everyone, has anybody played one of these? I know the US made ones are the much better but i have been trying to find one for years and have had no luck. I just love the look and feel of my 1778T. Have lusted after the 12 string for awhile and just gotta get one. Are the korean made ones worth having? Does anyone have one for sale? Thanks |

So...a small thing is the Rosewood fretboard with black stain on the Korean-made guitars. the big difference for my money is the neck-to-body joint. The US models have the CNC joint and other details in the neck very similar to a Taylor neck. this allows for quick, inexpensive adjustments down the line. The imports have a mortice and tenon joint that's epoxied together. That's ok when you get the guitar new, but it makes it a throwaway when the neck angle starts to go bad. Then again, if you get a smokin' deal on an import you may not feel so bad about throwing it away in 10 years or so. |

Location: Northeast Ohio | Thank you for the info, i was wondering about the neck joint. Enough said - might look at a Legend 12 string. Thank you very much. |
