Joined: March 2009 Posts: 4 Location: MD | Now on-ebay but I'm still interested in a trade: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ssPageName=STRK:MESEL... I'm putting my feelers out. For auction or trade my dead mint showroom condition Ovation Custom Elite. Bought in early 08 from Ovation, comes w. OHSC and all hangtags , manuals , and trussrod wrench. This guitar never left my house and has a max playing time of 2hrs. Trade value $1700.00 Interested in the following trades: Fender 56 CS Strat relic or CC Maybe a CS Nocaster Gibson ES-335 with slim 60's profile neck +/-cash I'm the first and only owner of this guitar. Descriptions and specs from Ovation: Over 300 individual pieces of abalone shell are hand-inlaid into each Custom Elite, a stunning appearance in any finish. The AAA-graded tops are the most flexible and consistent Sitka spruce tops available. Only 5% of all our graded tops are chosen for these fine instruments. Notice that the Custom Legend A-shaped bracing and the Quintad pattern used on the Custom Elite are primarily longitudinal, giving the top greater freedom of vibration. The result is a guitar that can pump out a tremendously broad and powerful sound. The 5-piece mahogany and maple neck is contoured to a "soft-V", the most ergonomic of neck shapes. The bound ebony fingerboard is decorated with abalone inlays and fitted with nickel silver frets. Each of the frets is crowned, dressed and polished by hand, then the fingerboard and neck are finished with Danish oil. This guitar is featured in a beautiful black cherry burst finish. Joined: March 2009 Posts: 4 Location: MD | Thank you for your input and your welcome. You have a good set of eyes. I totally missed the mark under the pre-amp which is just leftover cleaning solution that I forgot to wipe of. I'll guarantee that this guitar is dead mint and has no issues other than a dusty headstock, which I also forgot to wipe of, my bad. I'm new on this forum and you don't know me. I bought and sold numerous high end guitars on the FDP forum, the gear page, same Username- apistomax and on e-bay UN -trifasciata. Most recently I sold a Gibson es-137 custom , a 05 US Strat on e-bay, both with positive FB. I sold a AVRI 62 on the gear page to user astigtigas if you need a reference. I pride myself in being a honest seller and expect the same from people that sell high end guitars on forums and on e-bay. Taking good photos of guitars is not that easy and things like glare and dust can make a guitar look bad in photos. I try to avoid the use of a flash when photographing guitars, but even photos taken in daylight can be misleading. Sorry for the long reply. | ||
