Location: Tennessee | I gotta wonder how the electronics work with the Viper pickups. Maybe they bypassed the preamp? Can Viper pickups be used with the stereo wiring of a stock Preacher? |

Location: NW Washington State | Never owned one of these, but I think that the Preacher controls are pretty much like a Les Paul. 2 volume, 2 tone with the stereo jack before the pickup switch. The Preacher Deluxe had the preamp with volume and tone controls plus a mid cut switch. Did I get that right, Preacher fans?

That would be the best combination to have:
Mahogany Body
Mahogany Neck
Viper Pups
2 Vol, 2 Tone and 3way
You could fine tune your tone but adjusting capacitors or even replace the pots with push/pull doubles and have a "Jimmy Page" all combinations set up.
It will be a semi hefty guitar but sustain will be killa! |
