Assume that this isn't the 1868T.

I have no idea on the price. The 1868 is listed as coming with the 9117-0 case. 2006 price list shows $1,259 with case. In the US, at 70%, that would be $881. Adding the extra for Europe, could be a great deal. Interesting, MusiciansFriend shows it as discontinued.

Ask the dealer about the case. Even if you have to pay a few extra dollars for it, may be worth it.

It appears that some dealers will sell without the case, then try to sell you the same case to you.

It also appears that a dealer may order their guitars with a different case than Ovation indicates...specific situation of ordering the 8158 case when Ovation lists the 9158. Why, to allow the dealer to look good in the bidding war we see. My 47RI came with a 8158 when Adamas lists it with a better quality 9158.

So, even on the top of the line Ovation and Adamas, always ask what case comes with the guitar. I know Al always gives you the case that was intended for the guitar. And, he has one listed on his website.

I recently paid $700 for a Custom Elite 1868 with factory case in mint condition. I can't say if it was a good deal or not as I don't see very many CE1868's come up for sale to compair prices to. It think it was a fair price for the guitar, but I would have given a few hundred more because the guitar to me just "felt right" to me, and the condition was (although used) as close to new as you could get...

For future reference (in case someone searches for 1868 values), I gave $650 in 2004 dollars (US) for my 1868-4 in absolutely mint condition with OHSC.
