After being on here a couple of years I have finally gotten around to posting pics of one of my favorite guitars ....I know you purists out there will tell me how much of an idiot I am for modifying it ...but I play this one from time to time and otherwise I couldnt have ...so it is a true rocking machine and everytime I pull it out at a jam ....you should see all the jaws that drop and then when they hear it ....well you get the picture....Greg

I'm with you, Greg. The Deacon has a tremendous WOW factor. Many guitar players I've shown it to have never heard of it, much less seen one, and the burst finish is beautiful. How did you make the pickguard? I'm not sure I love it so much.

Interesting... maybe more of a DeaconTele with two pickups. How do the EMG minis sound in the Deacon? Similar to any other guitar? I have a cream-colored set. I had one in my Deacon long ago but can't really remember the tone. I did save the original pickups and preamp.

 Nice!! I like the pickguard. What's it made of? I was thinking about a carbon fiber one on a BwBBWL (Barnwood-Burst Breadwinner Limited) for awhile. Or perhaps a matt-finished translucent black acrylic with mini strobes behind it....

Did someone call me a mad scientist ;)

Seriously cool Deacon Greg!! Serious guitar...
