| My New, and I do mean New(looking,playing)1758-1 arrived a little over an hour ago. My old one was Really Nice...but, this one is Dead Mint!!
Absolutely 0(zero) nicks, dings, cracks, chips, or rash/rough spots, anywhere on this wonderful piece of workmanship and artistry from CT. The frets have no wear at all, the tuners gold plating is perfect and tarnish/pit free, and the action, intonation, and setup are all perfect.
The guitar came in a Black OHSC in almost as good condition as the guitar, with key still in original envelope, and only a couple of scuff marks outside..
It came with a beautiful strap w/conchos, 2 sets of D'Addario j38-12 pb strings, a Sabine ST-1000 chromatic tuner, string winder, about 20 assorted picks, a Kyser 12-string capo, and the original owner's manual/warranty registration.
I thought that I may have overpaid($650 w/shipping/insurance) compared to what prices have been lately(or at least when I've been selling), but this one was worth every penny.
The Brand-New 1718 reissue that I just looked at last weekend was not as nice as this. tho an onboard tuner would be nice.(especially on a 12).
The Original owner bought this as NOS from his local music shop a couple of years ago, played it for his family and took exquisite care of it(I don't think it ever left the house).
Unfortunately he was injured in an industrial accident and can no longer play. so on the bay it went.
I am sorry for his loss and injury and do wish him a speedy and significant recovery. and hope that he may someday play again.
I am very, very, happy tho that I was able to find another 1758 to replace the one I was forced to sell, and am blown away that I actually found one this pristine.
Back to playing.... pictures will be up tomorrow.

| It's a stunning 17 year old(89) almost legal, with an op24. ser#386557....
speaking of almost legal, my little witch of a daughter, Shannon, will be 18 on All Hallows Eve...Oct 31 @ 10:04am.. She's a good kid, and plays Ovations too...
I got her a gift made of carbon-fiber, maple, fiberglass/resin, and mahogany... too bad it wasn't an Adamas..(me first)... but is a pretty nice tool... it's a cuetec pool cue.
3 out of 7 of our kids own and play Ovations, the other's don't play an instrument.
