Location: PDX | Hey Dave, on your 2001C did you have the epaulets inlaid at the time of refurbishing? Obviously it is not standard. Perhaps they made some with and some without the inlay?
Just curious, as there is a 2001C on ebay w/o the inlay.

Location: Central Massachusetts | Greg, you are correct. As far as I know mine is the only '01 with inlaid epaulets.
Due to a really bad bridge pull, it needed a new top and bowl, so I injected some of my personal preferences while I had the chance.
The redwood on ebay looks great. Thinking about one yourself? |

Location: PDX | Not this year -- i have been in discussions about THIS! .
It just may qwell my pangs for that Improv. However it is a year or more lead time. Which is nice as i get to pay in installments. Haven't sealed the deal yet and may wait until early '07.
So, until i make a final decision all purchases are on hold.
On another note -- how are your guitars holding up in this weather? Mine are just dieing, intonation problems, loss of tone, and they just wont stay in tune!

Location: Chehalis, Washington | Actually, I haven't noticed any real troubles yet. Of course, until yesterday I was down to just my 1718 in the house (as far as steel-string acoustics) so that's not a fair statement. It was in tune just fine yesterday.
My 1881 is visiting a friend right now, and the 1869 is on its merry way to the UK (ha, that rhymes!). |

Location: Central Massachusetts | Greg, I work from home so my guitars haven't had to double as paddles. So far they've been mostly stable. I suspect you have a more discerning ear than I do, though. ;) |
