Location: Taiwan | A friend of mine is looking at a used (about 10 yr. old) Elite Standard 6778. It looks to be in very good shape to my novice eye. But the guy wants $800 for it. Even though we're in Poland where it should be a bit higher, it seems steep to me.
A new 6778 LX can be had for around $1000 and I can get it here for $70. I can't find any completed listings on ebay for standard elite's that are not LX.
Personally, I'd get a new one, but maybe there's a reason to get an older one that I don't know about?

Location: Taiwan | Are older ovations sought after because they are "vintage?" - like with strats.
(And could that apply in this case?) |
