| Does anyone know of a good luthier in the N. Central Florida area? I'd like to have my 1869 Legend given a professional setup. I live in Gainesville, so I'm a 2 hr or less drive to Jacksonville, Orlando, Tanmpa & Tallahasse. TIA. |

I've heard very good things from two independent sources about a luthier working at the Sam Ash at Fletcher Ave. and Dale Mabry. If you are interested, I'll be seeing one of them this Sat. and can get a name for you. One player had a headstock repaired (Gibson) after a tip and fall on a really windy day. The other had a general setup done on a Pacemaker and later had a cracked slothead fixed on same. When I tried the Pacemaker, it was unbelievably easy to play. Easier than most 6 strings I've come across. Got me to thinking I should bring my Pacemaker in for a setup. Might play it more afterwards. |
