Anybody know anything about the Celebrity CC13? I bought one and wondered if there was anything interesting or unusual about them. Thanks,

Not sure about the specialness, besides it being an Ovation. Congratulations on the new guitar. I own a CC67 Celebrity, which isn't listed on the Ovation web site. You'll find most of the Fan Club folks more into the USA made Ovations - but some of us will agree that having a Celebrity is a step in the right direction! I have a Legend in lay-away right now and hope to add it as a USA model to my collection...

Welcome to the board.

...Hang Thy head not in shame for being a Celebrity Owner.....despite the subtle ridicule thou mightest encounter. These guitars...though not USA made (God forgive us) are excellent makers of superb sounding noise...and... Ovation DOES....make a buck or two off them. Someday, when I can afford it...I will buy a USA made Ovation. Blessings, KD.

Ah, Sorry for not being a little clearer on my original post. The CC13 is a Classical Guitar. The price list on this website lists them at quite a bit lower in value (especially the 1986 model) than any other Ovation. I was wondering why the lower value (could there be a quality issue or anything like that) Thanks in advance

Glad to see that there are others on the board who do ejoy the Celebrity guitars. My Celebrity may not sound as good as my Martin, but the Celebrity's intonation is PERFECT and the "playability" is the best I've found on any accoustic guitar. Now that I've had my Celebrity a few months, I'll have to test out a USA built model to see if there really is a big difference in tone - accoustic and plugged in.

I'm with Swat and Mike. There's nothing wrong with owning a Celebrity or two. My two dust collectors are a CC01 and a CS247 ;)
