I've heard a lot about this series in different posts hear. To anyone in the know, is this a good series to help an old rythmn guitarist to become more proficient at understanding lead?

I like to fingerpick, or flatpick main notes along with chord progressions, but would like to increase my lead playing/improvising abilities.

I don't have Fretboard Logic (yet), but there are several threads in the archives that speak highly of these books.

Just FYI, Amazon.com has Fretboard Logic I and II in one volume for a really good price. There is also a Volume III and a 2-video set to accompany the series. You can get a box set of all 3 books plus both videos (on 1 DVD) for around $89.

I am interested to hear if anyone found the videos to be helpful.

I think it is a very good investment. I'm still working on the second book. It's different, but like it's name, logical.
Enjoy,
