For those that want the portability and ease of a Ukulele but would hate to learn new chords:

Papoose

At least they put the hole in the right place!

This looks like a great idea. It'd be nice to bring my own axe when I travel instead of borrowing one. Any idea how it sounds, I suppose uke like with the nylon strings. Probably mando like if it had steel strings.

Haven't touched the nylon strung unit - must sound ukish. The steel strung is a more bass like mando sound.

They have a 12 string that is phenominal! I don't see those being let go on Fleabay though!

I would love to see Ovation compete and throw in a comparitive sized 12 string :)

Nice looking guitar and the price is right (for now!) but I'd be a little leary of the auction.....new seller,no location, stock decription, stock photo,no payment info,no shipping info....may just be the inexperenced new seller but I think I'll watch this one fron the sidelines!.....'size I ain't got no monies no how!!!

A bass mando-now that would sound interesting. Must try it first before I buy it. It would be interesting to see if ovation would make something like this, and they should because it would fill a gap between the uke and mando offerings and the guitars, but highly unlikely given all the new stuff their doing. Ah it's nice to dream though. Yep, know about the mandocello, but looking for something smaller and more guitar like.
