Went to church this morning and played drums as usual, looking forward to the evening service when I would play guitar with two others. I was going to take the 1115, but decided at the last instant to take the 1681. I got there, and the sound guy was setting up, so he asked me to plug in to check the sound. I did, and was playing a few chords when the other two guys walked in. They just stopped in their tracks and couldn't believe the sound. (neither one plays an Ovation product and one is a die hard Taylor fan.) All night they kept commenting on the sound of my guitar. I can't imagine how good it would sound with someone playing who knows what they are doing. Anyhow, I have to say, untill you plug on of these in to a big system, you really are missing the whole experience. I know to alot of you, this is old stuff, but I just couldn't believe the sound. (ok, I'll shut up now)

Jim,

You are right. Ovations are great anyway but plugged in they will blow the others away.

BTW; The "Dog Song" went over well. It fit to whole theme of the service which was about the giving of gifts. I also did another song, "Mary's Boy Child" and will be doing another in a little of 2 hours at the late Christmas Eve service. I like this service best very quiet and short.
