Location: Keller, TX | When does Ovation come out with their new models? I purchased a Celebrity CK057 from my local ma/pa store. I went back in about a month later and they had the exact guitar with the newer electronics (Op20 I think). I am about to get a new 1778LX, but want to make sure I don't get the last one off the line again. |

Location: Canton (Detroit), MI | There isn't a "model year", new models are announced in January and July at NAMM and they usually arrive in the shops a few months after that. Updates to models already in production likely happen after the decision is made to update and whenever they exhaust the supplies of the older parts.
I doubt there will be changes to the 1778LX any time soon, other than a color add or delete, since it came out last year in January.
