Hi
I am a new Ovation owner. I bought this guitar model # 1114, used.
I was wondering if anyone could tell me a little more about it. It seems to have a serial number of 272430, and the sticker in the bowl has the model # and says Ovation, made in Connecticut, USA.
A Kaman music product. Anyway, I love it and would be curious to know a bit about it's history; when it was made, what it might have sold for new or anything else that might be of interest.

Poke around on the Ovation site and check out the serial number list in the Crack the Ovation Code section. That will tell you what year it was made. Somewhere in the FAQ section, I think, you'll find the retail price list. Those are interesting. Just read the whole site. That's what I ended up doing. Then I have to go back again because I forget stuff.
Welcome aboard.
