| Hi everone, just new to this forum and don't know if I'll be a frequent viitor or not. I just had a question about early serial numbers with the Balladeer. I got mine in 68 and the serial number is K234. I don't see anywhere on this or the Ovation sight that a serial number starts with K. Anyway, have you all seen serial numbers this small? Does it give any more value to the guitar? Thanks |

Do a search on "serial numbers" using the link at the top of the page and you'll find lots of info on the early serials numbers. The condition of your guitar will have more influence on its value than having a K serial number. Dave |

Location: Orange County, California | Welcome Goat!! We sure hope you visit frequently. That's got to be one nice old Baladeer. The K seems to be a bit unusal. If you're the original owner then you know exactly how old it is. you should post a pic of the labal and the sales slip. we love the history!! Don't pay too much attention to Bill. He almsot always wins the earliest/lowest serial number contests. He had access to many of the "firsts". Likely anyone that has one lower/older, got it fom him.... |
