| Anyone ever try the Elixir Nanoweb Baritone 12-68's?
I'm curious how they compare with the D'Add 14-59's... |

Location: Madison, Wisconsin | I haven't tried them on my longneck but I don't care for the sound of them on my Legend. I like the bright sound of fresh strings and the coated ones don't have that. I think they are designed to sound like a set of strings that have been broken in after a few weeks. For me, that's the time to change strings. |

| Hey Bill,
I know what you mean. I tried the polywebs and the nanowebs, I liked the nanowebs better, the polywebs sounded dull. But the only 'baritone' style string I've tried is the D'Addario Heavey. |

| Bill, thanks for the info. I don't want to change the factory specs. I wonder if the Elixir 12-68's would work?...probably not.. |
