Hi,

I'm a new member. My inbox says I have one message as does the Welcome area when I log on. When I go to the inbox and click, it says there are no messages, although there is a number 1 inside the inbox envelope. Being new, am I restricted from receiving mail?

Thanks for your help.

I don't know if you can-or-cannot receive mail...
That is the PM that I sent you.
That PM sez:

That is kinda what I was thinking, Jimmy.
If the guitar works as is... I wouldn't mess with it.
I set the EQ and leave it forever... So once you get it set you should be fine.

If you would like "full access" to the OFC site, go back to the Welcome Center and post to your original post expressing you desire to be a "full member"...
Then someone in authority will eventually see it, and eventually upgrade your status.

But that upgrade is sometimes a slow process.
And I really don't know about the "inbox" thing.

Jimmy, let me know you're a real person and I'll make you a full member. I don't know if that'll fix it, but we can start there

Thanks Arthur. I did receive your e-mail and by the way, you're not old. I'm 61 and playing guitar and listening to all types of music keeps me young. I just thought I would tell you about my guitar. It's a 1990 Ovation Legend Cutaway, 1767, and the sound has gotten better with age. Not that I didn't like the sound when it was given to me as a Christmas gift in 89. The only other guitar I love almost as much is my Gibson Chet Atkins signature. Hardbody but sounds acoustic. Great guitar.

Thanks again.

I was given this bit of wisdom by a co-worker almost a decade ago...

When you are in your 40's you are an Old Young Man.
When you reach 50 you magically change into a Young Old Man.

When you are in your 40's you are the oldest person in your age group.
Suddenly when you are in your 50's, you become the youngest person in your age group.

I don't know how that happened, but he was Correct.

I was 49 when I joined the OFC and chose that screen name.
"King Arthur" seemed a bit presumptuous.
