Hi, my name is Mike I live in Muskegon mi. Today I picked up a custom legend for $200 and I'm stoked. It has flaws, but hey, so do I and my new guitar and I happen to be the same age, we were both born in 1979!

I don't come just to share my excitement, but of course I have questions. .

1. Where can I find a volume knob? The tone knob is still there, but the top of the stack is missing.
2. The binding on the top of the neck is missing. What should I do about that?
3. Yes, of course the sitka is cracked! What alternatives do I have for the top?

Boy are you going to get a lot of advice.

Give it a bit and a mod will be along to grant you access to the rest of the site. Then re-post your questions there.

Anything can be fixed; it's mostly just a wishes VS wallet kind of thing.

And BTW, welcome aboard!

Alright! I used to have a 1771 balladeer and this thing plays pretty similar. I'm not a huge acoustic guy(I prefer my PRS), but when I saw this thing on craigslist I had to call on it. After talking the guy down in price it was time to score!

I'd like to take care of the aesthetics first as its playing pretty well for me, but later down the road when I get more funny money id like to treat it right and get her singing like a bird.

Welcome Mikal,
You are free to post in the General section. Several folks should be able to assist.
