Location: Lakewood, Ohio | I have a super shallow bowl legend which the acton was too high. i tightened the neck adjustment about an eighth of a turn and the action lowered nicely, and surprisingly, it seem to add more bass frequency, which helps with a super shallow bowl. it now sounds as good as my deep bowl and dare i say, my Martin. How fortuitous indeed! |

Location: Orange County, California | It is plausible that lowering the nut in relation to the top by taking relief out of the neck improved the "break-angle" over the bridge and put a little more down force on the top....
Or, more likely, what Beal said. When it's comfortable to play, you play with more conviction and of course it sounds better. |
