Location: michigan | Just curious if one were to convert a factory left handed ovation custom legend to a right handed legend, would I only have to change the nut and the bridge to make it a right handed guitar. Since it is non-cutaway, I was wondering if the bracing on a custom legend (left handed) would be any different. I never really checked as usually lefties are converting right hand guitar to left handed. This is a non-cutaway. |

Location: SoCal | How old's the CL? The A braced models are the same left handed or right. The newer X braced models are made in left handed configuration and you couldn't convert them because of the location of the preamp.
Of course, the easier solution is to not play left handed..... |

Location: michigan | Thanks Moody, I will have to find out about the bracing based on if it is newer or older. |

Location: SoCal | It's probably older as you can't convert the newer ones (1990's on) to lefty because of the preamp. An older CL with the preamp on the shoulder (1974-about 1984) can easily be converted changing the nut and saddle. And A braced, deep bowl O's sound wonderful.... |
