Location: Route 66, just east of the Cadillac Ranch | Ovation's current warranty is lifetime limited parts and 2 year labor (excluding electronics, strings, fret wear, etc.). I would expect labor is going to be the greater part of most repairs (neck reset comes to mind). Does anyone have any experiences with warranty work being performed outside the 2 year limitation on labor and have the labor charges been reasonable? |

Location: Sunshine State, Australia | I had an FRG (which only has a 5 year warranty) with neck problems and they fixed it free of charge when it was 3 years old.
I just had to get it to them.
They'll look after you.
Be aware that the lifetime warranty only applies to the original owner. It's not transferable. |

Thank you very much for the feedback. It sounds like they take pretty good care of their customers.
Jim,
Perhaps someone with intimate knowledge of Ovation's record keeping can answer your question. ;) I think when it comes to making a warranty claim, the burdon of proof is left up to the consumer, i.e. your purchase receipt. |
