Any suggestions on how to setting intially for drive and mini expressor?

unfortunately I can't play with it plugged in as the person downstairs home constantly.

Thoughts on a balanced out installation?
OP Pro Studio doesn't work on phantom power.
Is it worth it to bypass the the direct box only?

The website said it is am OP Pro in the 1778-LX
I guess it was not updated.

For me... The drive is at 2 o'clock and the expressor is about 75%.

That being said, I have only played it through my guitar trainer and my Genz Benz Jr.

With an XLR (balanced out) it should work with phantom power according to the manual.

Drive between 10 o'clock and 12 o'clock and expressor at 60% worked well on the 2007BCS. It sounded like an improvement, not a change. More is ok too, it is a fairly flexible adjustment, unlike the VIP which can start sounding really bad with a small increase. You could go to almost max on both without it sounding unnatural.

If you're plugging in for the first time at a venue, the sound guy's EQ adjustment will be the same as you've used without the Studio, at least as a starting point.

A 1778LX comes standard with the Studio now? Nice.

Partly true. The tuner will only run on battery. The preamp will run on phantom power.
