Location: Colorado Rocky Mountains | Anybody have a chance to try one of these out, yet? Maybe at NAMM? There's a big write-up in the recent MF catalog. With 99 tracks in the memory bank, this thing would really work well for me, plus it looks like it operates much like the RC-20. With only a dozen tracks in the RC-20 memory bank, this is a significant upgrade. I could have all my rhythm tracks pre-recorded and not have to lay them down on the fly.

Location: Flahdaw | Sorry Prof....maybe it's just me getting old, but I'm starting to like the guy (or girl) and a guitar sound, without all the electronic, one-man-band stuff. It would be fun to play with at home, though.
When I go to a bar now and see someone sitting up there by himself sounding like a 5 piece band and singing in 3 part harmony, it just kinda bugs me. I always wonder, "what does this guy sound like sans all that crapola?"
Examples of guys singing and playing a guitar...

Location: Blue Ridge Mountains | Getting the audience involved and offering the most sound is part of the club experience...there are times in a 4 hr gig when acoustic and vocals are just fine and there are times when being ale to sound amazing utilizing technology is welcomed as well...mixing it up and keeping it fresh is part of the work involved in marketing yourself as a salable and desirable entertainment act.
I have an RC-20XL and like it a lot...I have not yet decided about the new RC-30: it has some great features: the three hour recording time is nice as well as the xlr mic input and usb...dual channels not so sure...here are youtube video's of each:

RE-30
Not sure of the advantage with the newer unit v the former...but I'll keep looking at it... |
