Location: Appleton, WI | I'm thinking about selling my Viper III on Ebay.
Of corse I will make it available to my OFC family first. The point of this post is that I need help assigning a $ value. So here it is...
When I got the guitar 20 years ago it had been converted into a standard 2 pickup Viper (I know, what was that guy thinking...) He also sold me all of the extra parts and I turned it back into the guitar God had intended it to be...a Viper III. Overall it is a very clean and solid guitar. I think it looks great for its age. Everything works as it should however, the body has been stripped and refinished in a natural look with no gloss. The pickgaurd has been replaced with an aftermarket one I got from ebay for $55. All other parts are org. The maple neck is in great shape and plays very straght and fast. There is one small finish chip at about the A string 3rd fret. and one small ding on the back of the neck (does not affect the playabilty at all). There is an org. viper case to be sold with the guitar. I'm only thinking of selling to raise funds for some other progects. I'm very interested in your opion on what it is worth. Location: Scotland | Given the refinish and the rest of it's somewhat chequered history I would aim for around $300 and be prepared to accept $200 or less. You could probably get something approaching $100 just for the case if sold separately. |

the really nice stock ones are pulling under $500 so every little "knock-off" takes it down. |

Location: Boise, Idaho | The ones I've been lookin at have all been $400 and up, but none were the Viper III. Several had the bottom of the pickgard cracked. Most above that don't ever sell, though. |
