Joined: January 2006 Posts: 171 Location: Bangkok, Thailand | Hi there, all Ovation guys I live in Bangkok and no chance to get Ovation Nylon string USA model. I'm interested in 6773 and trying to ask my friend or my brother to bring it back for me when they visit Bangkok next time. Therefor, I would like to ask you all about Ovation 6773. Here are my qurstions: 1. Does it still available in some store (USA)? Please give me the store website or info to contact them. 2. What is the reasonable price of the brand new 6773 Classical Guitar? I search and get one here at https://www.musicalinstruments.com/detail.asp?ProductCode=Ova6773 It's Price: $1,499.95. Is this a standard price? 3. It's also great if some of you know or see a USED 6773 with good condition like one from philboyd studge here. I was a little late to contact him, so Mark get it. http://www.ovationfanclub.com/cgi-bin/ubb/non-cgi/ultimatebb.php?ub... 4. If 6773 is out of store already, is it possible to order it directly from Ovation? (Take 3 months?) Thanks for all reply Best,

I've seen the new Artist (formerly known as the Country Artist) in the stores, and think it's a damned fine guitar. The other alternative is to buy a used Country Artist. I've got a 1674 (nylon string -- are you looking for that or a steel string?) that's almost up on ebay.

Your 1674 is very nice with good price . . . but i just falling in love with 6773 nylon string a little more. Yes i know it, 6773, has the 14th fret meet the body not 12th fret as a real classical guitar. But overall, i prefer 6773 if I can find one. Which Country Artist model you have seen in the stores? Could u please tell me the name of it and the price range? Thank you, --------------------- To Mr. Al How long it gonna take if I order 6773 from you and how much does it will cost? Thank you,

The one I just sold I purchased from a private party through a recycler ad, my other one came from Guitar Center and I don't think you'd have much luck from them....although they may have one that they'll list online. I use a Guild Mark series guitar when I record nylon string parts and I'm comfortable with standard classic guitar construction in that situation but for stage use I'm a lot happier with a hybrid that has 14th frets to the body. Before I bought the black 6773 I had a Gibson Chet Atkins solid body nylon for stage use, but a long term contract gig with a hotel in 1998 required moving around (with a wireless) and I needed something with some acoustic properties. I tried everything available and the Ovation was hands down the best. I sold the Chet Atkins and after a year or so of searching, got the second Country Artist as a back up. This gig required playing both inside and outside, sometimes making temperature changes of over 50 degrees.......you haven't lived until you've played a black guitar in the sun in 110 degree heat. Anyway, I was worried the black one would blow up or something but it never had the slightest complaint. When Taylor came out with their nylon hybrid line I bought a NS62 thinking I'd go upscale. Though it was nice looking everything else about it was awful; especially intonation and electronics that were unuseable. So is the 6773 a good guitar? Let's put it this way; I've got about 20 guitars, and a bunch of other stringed instruments, and I suppose they all have a price...except the black Country Artist which is not for sale under any circumstance.
