Price shouldn't just be the deciding factor in purchasing the guitar of choice. Sometimes, even bottom feeders like myself, have to give in a little more to get the good stuff.
In my case, I'm not saying that I own the "holy grail" of guitars, as I have my share of low-priced, beater/knock-around types. But being able to give in, at times, I often end up acquiring some of the big guns in guitars. Among them -- a Custom Legend [1719] which happens to be my one and only Ovation; a Martin HD-28, a Japanese-made Takamine classical [EC-132C]; and an almost vintage 1983 Fender USA standard Strat -- all of which were purchased new and I'm the original owner. |
