Location: Highlands of Scotland | Any one know why I can only play my W597T through an XLR to jack lead and not an XLR to XLR through our band PA even with the phantom power on? The XLR to jack gets a far superior signal to the jack to jack lead so I would really like to be able to use the benefits of XLR to XLR. Thanks. |

Location: Phoenix AZ | Do a SEARCH. It's been discussed. You need an XLR that's grounded to shell or something like that ... Dave |

Location: NJ | I may have this wrong, but I BELIEVE that pin #01 needs to be grounded to the shell of the plug . . . |

Location: closely held secret | Yes, pin 1 needs to be grounded to the shell.
Or you can stick a dummy plug in the 1/4" on your guitar. This will turn the pre-amp on battery power. |
