Location: Minden, Nebraska | I played in a western band for a season where we played white Ovations -- go figure!! -- and they looked very cool under the lights in contrast with black vests and pants, white hats and shirts, and boots of choice. My squeeze at the time was an '86 Collectors, which has a white sparkle finish. That guitar REALLY stood out. Gene Autrey might have turned over in his grave, but it was a good looking western band even if we didn't appear as authentically hokey as Riders in the Sky (whom we sounded like). Since we played through a system, the Ovations were very functional, too. |

Location: Minden, Nebraska | I wish I had some... It was a project that eventually fell apart, no fault of the band. I suspect I kept no pictures because it was a big disappointment. Long story.... But now that you mention it, I wish I had pictures because it is rather remarkable that I sang in a western band, rock 'n roller that I am under the veneer. |
