Location: Parrish, FL | Obviously not the same guitar, but closely related. How do they differ in sound? Anyone have a chance compare? There is a pretty nice 1718 on the Bay, currently under $200 (has not met reserve).
Just courious. |

Location: Carle Place, NY | I've owned both and there's a huge difference in acoustic sound. The 1537 is much louder, clearer, fuller, richer, etc. On the surface the guitars look so similar it's hard to understand why they sound so different. It's got to be a combination of a bunch of things. If you want the sound of a 1537, the 1718 is not going to make a good substitute. |
