I have a 1978 Ovation 12 String, Model 1115-4. It's definitely one sweet guitar. However, two of the buttons (plastic) have cracked beyond repair due to age I guess. These buttons screw into the post of the straight thru tuners. The tuners are ok and I don't want to replace them as I like the Ovation logo. Any help on finding replacements would be greatly appreciated. I'd like to find either metal or chrome buttons that will hold up better but I don't want to stray from the original too much. Thanks all and enjoy!

There have been similar questions (with answers) on this board. Try doing a search under "tuners" or "buttons". Al - you got anything ???

I have a 12 string with Schaller tuners. They look like M-6 mini's. Chrome with pearloid buttons. Does anyone know the model number of these tuners? I want to purchase another 12 string set, but I can only find chrome or gold. Neither with the pearloid buttons. I have checked the schaller website and most popular guitar parts sites. Dave

I have the 12 string gears available for the ovation slot head 12's
they are not like production schallers that I know of
I have them in chrom or gold with the pearloid buttons.

The buttons are avaialable from Stewmac, in sets of 6 at $13 a set. Part no 3056

The current M6 mini is slightly different to the ones used on Ovation slot-head 12 strings as they now only have a single retaining screw rather than 2, but they are compatible. There are in chrome, black or gold but the pearl buttons would need to be bought as a separate item unless they were the Ovation versions which Al has available
