Location: Colorado | I finally received my Adamas 1881 Thursday evening. I cleaned it up a little, restrung it, and started trying to get my old callouses back.
Last evening, I was just looking at guitar up close and noticed about a 1/8" gap between the fretboard and the carbon top at the bottom of the fretboard. The separation starts at the 15th fret on the bass side and the 17th fret on the treble side. The top isn't sunken anywhere and the neck appears straight.
If this is a problem, I'd like to know how much of a problem before I take it to the local luthier. The guitar plays O.K., but I do need to get the first few frets looked at, too.
Thanks in advance.

Location: Colorado | In my initial post, I meant to mention that I didn't see any glue between the top or the neck at that point. So I was hoping there was nothing wrong that an adjustment wouldn't fix. Glad to hear it's nothing after all.
Thanks

Location: Zion, Illinois | I have a similar question about my AdamasII. My fretboard looks liked it pulled off from the top. In my case there is glue clinging to the fretboard and the carbon top. Under the fretboard there's are small shiney area on the carbon top. The fretboard itself looks like is bending slightly upward.
Do I have a problem (with this guitar I mean)?
