Hope you enjoyed at least somthin' on it. You can keep it, pass it on to another, or send it back this way.

Point taken, would have been nice to get it [Thanks] in person...in CT.

Looks like I will be up in Branchville for a week or so in the next month....I will check out your dates and try to catch a show. Believe me..you will KNOW I am in the audience....

So....is there a contest winner here???? :D

Seriously, I see the term "Father's Day" popping up here in more than one post. THAT is the reason I could not go. My father is 92, and who knows how many years he will still be here? Spending Father's Day weekend with him in another state had to come before going to the OFC Tour.

I humbly suggest that if there is a tour next year, that hopefully another weekend can be found. No date will please everyone, but picking a "holiday weekend" was guaranteed to lose some people.

As far as the contest, I think I'll vote for "My dog ate my plane tickets".....

Me too. Bentman is hereby declared the winner. W2 owes him dinner at the venue of his choice and 1 free O vation a year for the next 5 years.

Choose wisely Bentman (hint - the world's best reataurant is in the Pyrenees).

Just out of curiosity . . .

Did ANYbody who "went" miss Father's Day??

For all intents and purposes, everything was OVER at 9pm Friday. There were some (who were "driving" that left early - including the gent from MA who won the Adamas). The HUGE majority of attendees were outta the hotel by early Sat morning. Other than Moody, Temp, Jeanette and myself, the hotel was OFC-less Sat.

Moody didn't leave til early Sun morn, and still made it home for Father's Day . . .

It think what probably happened is that they were looking for a suitable time in the production schedule that would have as little impact as possible - and unfortunately Father'sDay isn't one of those "red letter holidays" that jump out on company calendars.

All in all, I thought that it was MUCH better than the usual March-thing. Having the outdoor activities (despite the showers) was awesome.

But I agree, perhaps the calendar should be scrutinized a BIT better next year . . .

Is there an American reason why July would not be good? (4th excepted)

That way you get the good weather and no clashes with any holidays that I know of.

And let's not forget that for a lot of people it's a sizeable piece of change from a family budget to attend.

Oh. They don't get out til the end of July over here. How about September - isn't it supposed to be the most beautiful place on earth come Fall? Leastways they spend about a million bucks a year advertising it over here. Or is September too early?

About 10-1/2 hours straight through.
The drive was not bad. I had good company.
The think we spent the first 3 hours talking Ovation.

Keep the pressure on AFG - we've got a movement going here. I would love to see New England in the Fall as well.

(I've been playing Moonlight In Vermont for the last 20 years - it would be nice to see what the songs about.)

That is only a few....months ...away!
I know it's tough on you guys who did not make it. But I think I'd like to wait 12 months so we can see more new things.
