I used to pastor a church about 45 minutes from St. Paul, NE where this pretzel came from; I've driven through the community a number of times, and know several people who have lived their (as ministers and teachers)...

...I actually find it both humorous and gratifying (yes, I'm smiling :) ) that some of this casino's money might actually go to do some good in a couple small rural communities - these communities have struggled a great deal with our changing economy; if this gives them a boost, all the better. (This is, of course, assuming better of the sellers and their motives than most of you are...)

;)

when I mentioned the burning bush I wasn't thinking about dubya - my expectations of you were much lower.
I'm disappointed.

I don't care if it rains or freezes
long as I got my plastic jesus
riding on the dash board of my car

I can go about a million miles an hour
As long as I got that almighty power
Right up there next my pair of fuzzy dice

Now you can dangle the Madonna, fantastic ...

I still don't get it why a casino would spend a ton of money for a catholic pretzel?...more money than brains, I guess...

It's called good PR, $10,000 is peanuts for a casino to spend! Maybe they're hoping to increase their Catholic patronage. I'd be more concerned that the money goes to a good cause! Course I wouldn't mind having a pony, kids would love it!

Is it an ACTUAL Casino?
I hear them advertise on Stern every once in a while, and I was always under the assumption that they were like an online gaming site . . .

(Not being a gambler, I wouldn't know).

They do it, and spend big bucks buying other oddball things on eBay (check out their feedback) because they get huge media promotion. $10,000 for exposure on all the major networks, morning talk shows, nearly every radio station in the land, all the web news services, etc., is cheap! The firm probably thinks their ad/marketing person is a genius -- they'd have to spend millions to get the same levels of exposure.

How about a toasted cheese sandwich with the likeness of Elvis on one side and Underdog on the other?

Personally I like what MWoody had to say.
