You too can make all those sounds on a guitar... just push it off the stand...

... and the only reason I can give for the applause is that he was finished.

I could be wrong Dobrov but I swear you are making a mockery of insightful creativity.Search inside YOUR own soul my friend and hope to find a small amount of what these to have to offer our mundane world of lifeless muzak. These two are on the inside of the inside. Hang on tight I dont think weve heard the last. Burns

Wow, I thought I had a lot more to learn. I stand corrected. I'm apparently a master of this "genre".. whatever you call it! Where do I get gigs doing this so I can afford more guitars?? And to think, I was just about to throw away my money at workshoplive when I had all of this inherent talent!

In musical composition we generally are set up for expectations which are either realized or surprise us causing a dopamine reward in the primal Brain.

That was an exercise to do none of that.

How much did everyone pay to sit through that and be able to call themselves "artists" if they survived? Did they get a T-shirt in the deal?

I disagree, Jeff. I repeat: "free" jazz I like (some of it). You'll find in my vault lots of LATE Coltrane, Cecil Taylor, Charles Gayle, Schlippenbach, the Maieri bros etc. When it comes to John Russell vid and this Derek Bailey vid, I honestly don't think the emperors have any clothes. Inside of the inside of WHAT?

No Darth. First you must listen to some awesome and very free jazz that makes my point. Coltrane plays VIGIL (1965) . Here Tyner (piano) is driving a fierce groove with Elvin Jones (drums). There is a modal focus but 'Trane is blowing very free. This I can listen to!

Maybe they should have inhaled!
That is the problem with "the Arts" all you have to do is be a freak and they will call you a genius! If I drop my 12 strings down a flight of stairs and record it, can I get a grant and a rotation on the college tour circuit!!!
