Yeah, I really am.

Even a blind squirrel finds a nut now and then. Or is that a million monkeys and a million typewriters and Shakespeare or something?

I'm not worried though, I seem to disagree with 44% of Americans according to the latest polls. :D

How ironic that 2 of the most recognizable singing voices from such an influential band should marry women who can't sing, and then proceed to make albums with them...

I also agree with Paul and Dave. Apparently JL got what he needed out of the relationship, so who cares?

I don't think I ever made it all the way through side 2 of "Live Peace in Toronto"...

...but when I saw the title, "Don't Worry Kyoko (Mummy's Only Looking for Her Hand in the Snow)", and saw the lyrics I knew Lennon must have had something to do with it.

. . . by side 2, he would've been "Hoover"-ing it up backstage . . .

Was "LivePeace" the one with Zappa and the song "Scumbag" (is it okay t'ype THAT one, Al??) or am I mistaking it for the other disc that came with "Sometime in NewYork"??

"This woman is a creap and for the life of me I do not understand how John, with as musically creative as he was, could have invloved this strange creature so much in "His" music"

...and "not for nuttin" but don't cha think a Beatle could have hooked up with a decent looking woman? Maybe it's just me.

Frank says "the name of this song is scumbag, and for those in the band that don't know what we are doing it is in the key of A and does not follow the classic blues changes"

Or something like that

There was a documentary about Lennon on HBO recently.
At one point the narrator says, "About this time, Yoko first introduced John to heroin.".....
And I know it's damning with faint praise, but Linda could sing circles around Yoko.

A good read for anyone that is interested in the relationship between John and Yoko, try the complete Playboy Interviews. The book is very interesting and insightful and contains the ENTIRE interview vs the little snippit that Playboy actually published.

As we all know, heroin is an opiate, very closely related to the pain killer morphine, this would explain how he could stand to listen to her voice....

I really liked the Zappa era when Flo & Eddie was with him... Billy Was A Mountain, Mud Shark, etc.....

That scumbag video was great...especially when Howard put the bag on Yoko's head. It's just a shame he didn't also take the mic away.

I'm with the 'it brought John peace and happiness' crowd here...but do happen to enjoy Yokos background singing in Happy Christmas, War Is Over. SO sue me. Sometimes art just pisses you off, and that's what it's supposed to do.

For the Norman Rockwell view of life, listen to Macca.

I don't believe Yoko introduced Lennon to H.

Clapton wouldn't have been Hoovering it up, he would have been jacking it up.

She was/is a talentless, money-grabbing, thick-as-shit failed artist, but you can't exactly lay all the faults of the world at her doorstep. If'n you take drugs you got NOBODY but yourself to blame. I know whereof I speak.

Cold Turkey is one of the best things Lennon ever wrote - and the guitar part that Clapton dreamt up is as close to genius as anything he ever did. It's like having razors dragged across your eyeballs.
