I bumped into a former lawyer who had his ticket pulled when he got convicted of a felony. He was selling cars. I'd rather sell cars. They didn't rank guitar salesmen.

I understand the benefit is that I can plug in without draining my battery. From Al's ad for this I infer that I would need to plug something else in for it to work if I just used one of the Lo Z cables that are lying around in church (for use with microphones). Q1: If I plug in with those cables, what will happen? Q2: What exactly is the advantage of buying one of the one's Al is selling?

If you have an ohmmeter you can check a cable by seeing if pin #1 and the outer shell are shorted. Or, you could just try plugging in with one at church and ask them to turn the phantom power on and see if it works. I assume the cables Al is selling have this configuration.

I complained about the lack of the famous beer wrapper, pizza box or New Jersey newspaper packing material in my OFC guitar box. This cable came packed with an old Guitar Digest, but it was "The Taylor Issue." Cheap shot, Al.
