Patch, your 97 is tempting me with my CS collection. I dont have a 97, but I really want some of the steel ones first. PM me if you have any other CS models you'd be interested in selling

I like the parlor also. If I had the money it would already be gone.

Beauties...all of them. I'm looking around for a Viper...but sorry to say a nylon string model. All the best with the sale(s).

Interest seems to have waned on these, so I thought I'd give the thread a swift kick back to the top.

What's the good word?

In honor of Mother's Day, and an increasingly tight budget, I'll lower each price by $100.

NOW is anyone interested?!

Last chance, and last price cut, before eBay.

Viper $999
97 Collector's $675
MM-68 $ 625

Is this economy tough or what?

I know how you feel Aaron. But in an economy like this, not only do things sometimes not sell, but unexpected things happen and they need to be paid for NOW.

I had actually kind of resigned myself in an "Gosh, Darn It!" kind of way to having to hang on to all of these. (There are worse fates, right?) But things just happen sometimes, and when you get right down to it, they're just guitars...or, uh......mandolins.

Hopefully Mike can work it out. Right Mike?

Would you, Patch, please mention the ebay link here if it comes to that, for I've been lurking for your 97C, just dealing with some logistical incertainties momentarily.

No worries Patch, I got a great MM-68 at a great price and I am having a ball learning to play it. I found it on Mando cafe, I would have preferred to get it from you, that's all : )

I love the looks of this guitar but have never played a Viper EA 68 so I'm not sure what to expect tonewise. And another question....is Tamo Ash some type of special Ash wood or is Tamo a special customer of Ovation....like a large music store or something like that.

My guess is that the tree is naturally of industrially stressed and that what we see is the an enhanced product using the Plywood veneer peeling methods.

A lot like a Bear Claw Spruce or histolysis.

This seems like a rather unique guitar. I'm going to think long and hard about this guitar tonight. I actually like these models better than the new Yingling models now being made....hey, isn't that a beer?
