Anyhow, I was driving down the road and saw this little guitar shop and decided to stop in and see what they had to offer. (I will not mention the name of the shop, for obvious reasons) As I entered, I was met by two guys, one taking a picture of a guitar, so I said, "oh, going to put one on Ebay?" to which he replied, "oh no,we don't deal on Ebay! We only sell high end guitars on our own site" So I asked what type of guitar they sold, and he (very snooty) said,"we sell Collings and Larrivee". Then I made the big mistake of telling them I played Ovation and Adamas guitars, to which the one guy said,"well around here, we call them .....are you ready for this?..... BEDPANS". It was all I could do to keep my composure at that point. So I tried one of their "superior" Collings guitars, and at over 5k, this thing really didn't impress me. I think my Adamas II sounds much better, of course thats a somewhat biased opinion. By the way, They also had a full stock of BANJOS there, which may explain a whole lot!

Larrivee if I was to buy an all wood guitar and could afford it I would consider one of those much better than a Taylor IMHO. Perfect pitch is when you throw a banjo in a toilet without hitting the rim. Pauly

These guys are free to dislike Ovations for whatever reasons they might have, even if it's that they've chosen to focus their business elsewhere. For my part, I'd choose to focus my business somewhere other than their shop.
