We are all awaiting your report. True story - I had the seller ready to deal at $900, but his wife said hold out for the auction to end. Good call! We talked about it and I told him it was hard to see where this one would go. 12 strings are all over the place on the 'Bay. Joe, I hope everything works out for you and that the proceeds from this sale put a big dent in your troubles. Brad

I'm having to listen to the wifey's I-told-you-so's now about not ending the auction early, but it was worth it. Thanks, folks, for all your interest and help. Hopefully I'll be back in the near future on the other end of the exchange! Joe

I've been so impressed with the sound of my 1537, that this 12'er would've really been a nice addition and if it even comes close to the balance and output of the 1537, then you've got yourself a really nice guitar. When I first saw this auction I thought I could never afford it, and that turned out to be true. But today when I looked it was still in the $600 range. But before I could even place a bid it jumped to over $800 and my hopes were dashed. We'll all be waiting for a report and detailed pictures! Way to go!

She asked me "Are you going to bid on that 12-string?" We had talked about it over the weekend and she remembered the auction ended today. I was really interested but you can blame my wife for talking me into it. Ok, it didn't take a lot of convincing. I love my 1537, so I am really excited to see how the 1538 sounds!
