 | Howdy. Unless I get run over by a truck tonight (or some similar fate) I should be a proud Ovation owner tomorrow. This looks like a comfortable and knowledgeable place and I thank you for having me as a member. I have owned an ovation mandolin and had the chance to play an older Adamas a few times, but that is the extent of my Ovation experience. I've played guitar for over 50 years. Yes, a geezer.
So, I found a '70s 1617 Legend for sale locally that is in exceptional condition (from the current owner's description and photos I've seen) and I will be checking it out tomorrow. Supposedly a closet classic, no splits or cracks and hardly any wear with a case equally pristine. I know what to look for in a used guitar generally, but is there something else in the Ovation world I should look out for? It will be $450 firm.

 Thanks for any advice.
