For those of you who are familiar with him, Christian and Bluegrass guitarist Roby Duke passed away on December 26th. Apparently he suffered a heart attack while alone in his home, and was found later by his assistant.

The wierd part is that until last November I had no idea who he was, and I actually got to spend an hour at a music conference just chatting with him about guitars, music, and whatever. He may not have gained big international fame, but he was a man with a big smile and a love for music.

Godspeed Roby - your music and heart will be missed.

Although I never have heard of his music EH, I am sorry to hear of his passing. I too, have met musicians that where not nationally recognised, but still meant a great deal to me personally.

I hope that you will remember, as well as be influenced by, Roby!!!

I will look him up, to listen to a few of his tunes. New discoveries are always fun.

Definitely worth the time, Beggin. He was a signature artist for Avalon - in fact, much of what we talked about was the signature model they were making for him. Just amazing sometimes how these things happen.

Haven't listened to all of the cuts on "Ghost", but really like what I have heard so far.

Thanks EH! I am sure his music will be around for a long time.
