| Ok. As many of you know I'm looking for some of my uncles guitars. I have a question though. I'm getting numerous places stating the Serial Number on the
Adamas II 1885-NB5 SSB with Optima Electronics- Textured Top
as S/N #792
However, if I look up on the ovation site with the adamas codes, it is showing it should be between 6279-13020 as they made them from 1992-1997
http://www.ovationguitars.com/index.cfm?fa=codeadamas
HOWEVER, looking at the
OFC Members Serial Number List http://www.ovationgallery.com/
very few of them have serial numbers that fall in that range. In fact, the top one under Adamas II is
Serial Number # 972 Dave Patrick 1885 -5 Black 12-string SS Cutaway
Is it possible that #792 is the correct serial number???
Makes me think the 1992 Collectors Edition might not be # 792 of 1,995???

Location: SoCal | Adamas serial numbers only count Adamas guitars. They are different than Ovation serial numbers. For example, my OFC slothead Adamas has a serial number in the 22,000 range whereas my GC RI, which is about a year and a half old has a serial number in the 600,000 range. One measures Adamii and one measures Ovations. |
