Ive never posted before but I do log in a helluva lot and read everything in sight.
I have an Elite 1778T which I have made "Roland Ready" with the GK-2A divided pickup to play with my Roland VGA-7. (It's a KILLER combo) Question is this: As of now I have the pickup temporarily affixed with the fiercly sticky double-sided tape that came with it (which obviously will never hurt the finish of THIS guitar) but I was wondering what your call would be on attaching the pickup permanently with the 2 tiny screws that also came with the pickup? Wasnt THAT a long question! The set up is permanent, I have no intention of removing the pickup, ever, in my lifetime.
Please give me your feedback.
I wait... |

Location: New Orleans | Here's why I ask. The sticky tape will eventually come unglued over time and vibration. To install this pickup, you have to do some VERY precise measuring...which isnt fun in the least. If it would not hurt the top of the guitar in ANY way, I would consider installing the pickup permanently. See?
Thanx! |

Makes for a lot cleaner installation and more stable string intonation for the midi response. |
