I don't know if this topic has already been discussed. up untill now .I have always attatched my strap at the nut on the head of the guitar and at the tale piece. now my new Ovation Legend has a pin in the tail and one where the neck joins the guitar. which position do most members use when standing ? is there less stress on the neck one way or the other. If this has been discussed in the archives please let me know how to retrive this info. thanks for your time. William

Neck joint. More comfortable and I use the Straplocs.

The only right way to string a strap is to go from the tail to where the neck joins the body. The wider part of the strap HAS to go toward the neck as well.

So there you have it. No need to look any further.

Ever.
