The humidity in our house is about 36%.  Is this enough moisture to keep a Balladeer happy if its left out of its case for extended periods?  TIA for any opinions/advice

I try to keep mine above 40%, but it drops down into the 30s without any significant change. 36% should be OK, but it wouldn't take much for you to boost it up a little and keep it there.

I shoot for a little more, typically 45% to 55%.

Stability is a lot more important than the absolute value of humidity. 36% is certainly safe for your guitar. I keep our music room at 40%, the rest of the house at 30%.

The Royal College of Music in London has a museum with many wooden instruments that are centuries old. They keep the humidity at 30%. Obviously this is a safe humidity for long term conservation of an instrument.
