Location: SE Michigan | I am interested in something with a shallow bowl (Super Shallow bowl) and an OP Pro or Studio pre-amp. Not interested in a Celebrity. I don't mind a few dents or dings, I am shopping for a bargain, but of course it must be in good functional and playable condition.
Let me know if you have something
Thanks

Has a few dents/dings/etc but overall in very good condition and plays and sounds excellent.
I currently have it high strung with nashville tuning.
I am thinking somewhere in the range of $800 but since you are friends with the Slippery one I could go higher! |

Location: SE Michigan | Thanks for thinking of me but I am really looking for something with an OP-pro which I can swap out with a Studio. I want it for live performances plugged into a PA.
But thanks for the offer.

If you're going to swap the preamp with an OP-Studio, you could consider other Ovations models that have swappable preamps (OP-20, OP-30, OP-40, OP-50). Some nice options are an 1867 Legend or 1869 Custom Legend from the early 2000s which came with an OP-40 or OP-50 respectively. I have both guitars and have considered upgrading to an OP-Pro or OP-Studio.
I see there are two 1861LX Balladeers with an OP-Pro for sale on eBay, but you'd be better off with a Legend (or Elite, if that's your thing). There is an 1867 on eBay with an OP-40, but it's hard to judge the condition of the guitar. Sometimes you need to be patient. It took me a little while to find my 1867 and 1869, but I was looking for mint-condition guitars, which I found.
Good luck.
Mark
