| Hi all,
Just found you. My 1st guitar was a 1978/79 balladeer (serial number 108151) which I still have and still play.
Something that was lost about 30 years ago however was the foil Ovation decal that used to be inside the sound hole on the body. Like a bonehead kid that I was, when it fell out and I lost it.
I can not seem to find one anywhere. It's not a big deal but from time to time I wish I had it back.
Any ideas on where to find one? I don't want to put the new logo decal inside it I want the old one.
Thanks,
Mark |

I just gave you full member status, welcome to the club.
As for the foil labels, they went away for a good reason... it's the same reason you're looking for one now, they fall off.
People are always looking for those things. Odds are slim in finding one are slim, not to mention one that is the same model as yours.

My Folklore is over 40 years old and the label hasn't fallen off. Foil labels and brown cases - Ovation icons. Ovation should start making the labels again (they must still have the presses somewhere) and sell the labels online. They'd sell a stack of 'em! |
