I found that over on the UG forum. I wonder if Ovation knows (or cares) that they are being copied.
Carbon Fibre (fiber?) bowl, basswood top, maple neck, rosewood fretboard... I don't believe it.

I wonder how they sound, I'll have to call my friend in Scotland Harry and see if they have them up there. Is it just me or are the photos funky but they kind of look fat?

Ovation knock offs have been around a long time and they're always cheap and nasty.I think I read somewhere that Ovation originally patented the roundback design and then when that patent ran out they patented their bowl shape.

The problem with these cheap copies is that people just assume that is what a real Ovation sounds like. Of course when they play a cheap dreadnought copy they never assume that that is what a Martin sounds like.
